What FanTap handles
This page describes the current product direction. FanTap is being built with creator and fan accounts, live video, private calls, and shared pointing. Detailed terms and a complete privacy policy will be provided before public launch.
Accounts
Fan and creator accounts use the email address and display name provided at registration. Passwords are stored as salted, one-way hashes. Account records are intended to be stored in FanTap's own Cloudflare D1 database.
Camera recognition
Object recognition runs in the browser on your device. The recognition feature processes the video frame you point at locally. In a call or live stream, video and audio are transmitted to the other participants through the selected real-time connection service.
Shared pointing
During a creator live stream, a fan's pointer is routed to the creator and is not shown to other fans. In a private call, the other participant sees the pointer on the video.
